Gen Z is weird and has no shame (gym)

Went to a small community gym (no staff) near by that’s open 24 hours. I walk in and this guy about 20 years old was live streaming his (friend?) and lifting his shirt showing his abs. Dude sees me and doesn’t react in the slightest or act like what he’s doing is weird as frick.
Dude’s call was on speaker phone the entire time and he’s blatantly showing off talking loud as frick. Now I was t going to let this ruin my workout and I had headphones in so I just go about my workout but the entire time this guy is just staring at his phone 90% of the time.
At least that guy was doing somewhat of a work out. A week ago, I walked into this same gym and there were 4 gen z girls doing a fricking photo shoot in there. I legit left immediately because it was so awkward.
Maybe I have some more “get off my lawn” in me than I should but how do seemingly normal people go out in public and act like this like they have no clue how to behave normal

So did you ask him out or just go home empty handed?

So you stuck around with the dude showing his abs, but left when the girls were taking pics?
Has anyone told you you might be gay?

You have to grow up and not bog down w other people's narcissism. You're the temporary visitor. Stop being a nurse Ratched and move on.

You should have established your dominance by doing deadlifts with tree fiddy on each side while grunting and slamming the bar down between reps.

Equal parts narcissism (actual narcissism, not the pop-psychology term for "anything I don't like") and shamelessness.
They aren't embarrassed by things they really ought to be.

Tripods have taken over my gym. It's ridiculous.

There’s a few of these morons at my gym who film ‘content’ of themselves working out etc with a tripod. They all look like shite and aren’t even in shape or big or ripped or anything. I make it a habit to walk in front of their tripod that is always in the way as a big frick you to them.

Millennials starting to feel the creep of middle age. It happens to every generation. And it only gets worse. Youngsters get weirder and weirder the older you get.

I've come to hate our local gym.
I guess the college and high school kids finally figured out it is cheaper than Crunch and some of the bigger ones.
Used to be after 7pm, I was pretty much there alone.
Now its several groups of 18-22 year old kids doing an exercise and dicking off for 5-10 minutes between sets

I re-joined UREC last year expecting a lot of this, but to my surprise, I've only seen something like this maybe twice.

Had this issue last year at my gym where dudes were showing up in pajama shorts and literally taking 10-15 minutes between sets. The owner of the gym was told about it and made a dress code basically banning any pajama wear. He told a few of us that if any of the kids took more than 5 minutes between sets to just walk up and take the bar from them.
You would think it would cause a big confrontation but the first time I did it, the two dudes just stared at me and just went “what the frick?” and walked off. Situation corrected itself after that. Gen Z talks A LOT of shite online but the moment someone they don’t know talks to them they fold and just complain to their friends.
