I’d be willing to bet you could have a case against every living former president for retention of classified documents after leaving office. Before it was probably just one of those understood things that former presidents were able to do. Now it’s been weaponized against trump and retaliatory against Biden. It’s such a fricking sham

Biden wasn’t president.
Presidents have a different standard due to the Presidential records act. I

Biden was not President. He had no rights to keep classified documents period.

There is a world of difference between the scrutiny Trump is facing over this and Biden.
Trump had plenary powers as president to declassify anything he saw fit to declassify - the buck on classification stops at the president’s desk.
Biden took classified documents as VP where no such power exists.

It is against former Presidents. However, biden was vice president. That is a very different thing.
He could not declassify things as a vice president that a president can do.
So bidden should be hosed.
