Said this in another thread and guess I have to say it again:

Some of yall in this thread are a complete embarrassment.

Cousins is the exact definition of a career average QB, is 36 years old, and is coming off an Achilles tear. I'm not even calling the Saints being a great team next year, but anyone giving up the division to the Falcons already because they signed an overrated Cousins is a gigantic fricking pussy.

We don't have the power to give any team sh!t. Just predictions in the off season. As to Cousins being over rated I don't know what you are referencing. He's just a very good QB coming off injury to me.

4 pro bowls

Stat Cousins Total All-Time Rank
Passing Touchdowns 252 23rd
Interceptions 105 114th
Passing Yards 37,140 28th
Passer Rating 97.8 8th
Completion Percentage 66.8% 6th

Just don't see him as average like you do. But each year is a new year sport. He could excel he could fail. Its why we watch.

This board last year: omfg we got David Carr!!!! We now have the best qb in a bad division. South locked up!!!

This year: yall scared of cousins? Dude is so mediocre !

We were in win now mode, split 2 games with them, and finished one game above them as they were in rebuild mode with a horrific QB. Be honest with yourself, would you trade our current situation for theirs ?

Me thinks the Vikings knew Kirk was too beat up to resign.

Right because they have better options like Sam Darnold alternatively maybe the Falcons know he’ll be fine by opening day.

Cousins is not elite, he’s the next tier but that’s a tier above Carr. Atlanta was 7-10 (1-1 against the Saints) last year with Ridder and Hienke. Coming off injury is a question and a big risk perhaps but if he is healthy and he plays close to how he has the last few years why can’t they win 2-3 more games and win the division?
