they focus on harassing and generating revenue from law abiding citizens (get your inspection sticker, don’t let insurance lapse, pee in public while drunk and be arrested and register as a sec offender, don’t have some weed in your pocket or pay the price, etc)
meanwhile not allowed to proactively patrol and stop violent crimes, illegals can drive trucks with fake plates and no insurance and be let go with nothing, homeless people can shoot drugs and shite wherever they want and no repercussions because they won’t show up for court or have any consequences anyway
this causes such a breakdown of societal code and leads to feelings you have in the OP…we have less cops, the cops we do have are less qualified, and they have no support from either side because politicians and the media has turned minorities against them and law abiding citizens feel harassed and think it’s a double standard
we all lose and it’s a downward spiral that can’t be reversed IMO

Yeah, this is a solid response. I think you have summed up a lot of what the problem is.... Officers of less caliber, taking the easy wins where they can. They are frustrated. Regular people tired of having their frustrations taken out on them. The cycle repeats

This was the final nail in my back the blue coffin. I let my phone run out of juice and needed to call for an Uber, so I plugged my phone into a wall near the non-working light rail. Denver police screamed at me while a homeless guy had an entire set up plugged in. When I pointed at him, cops got even more mad and asked if I wanted to go to jail.
Absolute trash, seeing an actual tax paying citizen needing help, but threatening instead. Until proven different, more cops are Uvalde than Nashville in my mind.
