Nooooo, I didn't hijack the thread. I am discussing the player Ross who committed and you simply don't like my opinion. That is not hijacking the thread, that is you being narrow-minded.
1) Your Underwood comment is mind-blowing! Of course he doesn't have an offer from everyone. Pretty sure La Tech would be wasting their time. You must not follow recruiting at all to try to make that a topic.
2) Of course the recruiting services miss a lot...in both directions. That is one reason I do my own viewing of highlights and check offers. But for every one they miss on, they hit about 5 to 10 right.
3) Dave Campbell, who is deceased BTW, obviously had more than a staff of one. And they don't have to have the staff of On3, 247, etc. Why? Because they only cover 1 state...Texas.
4) His highlights do not show explosiveness and there is a difference between speed and quickness which you don't seem to distinguish. BTW, odd that most of his times are 10.6+. I still ask the question if that 10.48 was wind aided

Funny, how you act like I'm jumping the gun on evaluating him at the same time you say he MIGHT be a Patrick Queen, etc.....ooooooorrrrrr he might not be which is my opinion based on viewing his highlights, his poor offers, and his recruiting ranking by services and Dave Campbell site

As far as me posting less, that isn't your call to make is it? If you don't care for my posts, I suggest you skip them. No one forced you to post a marathon post just now. Thanks for your concern on the worth of my posts. I will decline your suggestion.

I have no issue with your opinion, you're entitled to it just as everyone else is. I'm not narrow-minded, I (and everyone else) just said you should wait to see how he develops as a SR before (objectively) stating that he will never start a game at LSU based on your analysis of his film. That is being narrow-minded.

1. You stated that because a majority of the 125 FBS teams have not offered Ross, he will not be an impact player at LSU. My point was (and you noted in your response) that most schools realize they would just be wasting resources so strictly looking at an offer sheet is not a fair assessment. Players also embellish their offer lists and report offers they do not have. Schools dive into film and throw out tons of offers after JR seasons and his offer list has grown recently and will certainly continue to grow.

2. Recruiting services do not hit on 83-89% of all players in a given class. Far from it.

3. Right, but even though they only cover one state, they still have less eyes on these players than On3, 247, etc. and are subject to misses just as frequently if not more than those services because of the resources available to them. No one is perfect in this industry.

4. That's fine, your definition of explosiveness is different than mine (and everyone else in this thread and multiple HS coach's/talent evaluator's opinions on other forums who rave about his "explosiveness", ability to shed blocks, cover, blitz, etc.) and that's fair. Straight-line speed and lateral agility, short area burst, etc. are all very different and I recognize that. But for a kid his size, who will still get bigger, he seems to be at least above average on all fronts and projects to continue to get better.

I'm acknowledging that he might be the best LB ever at LSU, he might be the worst LB ever at LSU, ORRRR he might fall somewhere in between, but definitely stating that he will never start a game at LSU based on JR highlights is jumping the gun 100%. No one knows how he will develop; you gave your opinion (dozens of times) so we know where you stand. The horse is dead, no need to beat it further. By the way, he's top 300 currently and trending upwards by all accounts. Wouldn't call that a poor rating. Let's see how his offer list and ranking looks after his SR year and we can revisit.

You've posted 3 Harry Potter novels in this thread, compared to my singular follow-up post attempting to address your comments. But keep yelling at the sky, maybe someone will listen!
