In the 2023-2025 classes so far, ND has ZERO 5-star players in any of those classes. BK has been able to reel in 6 in that same frame here. ND hasnt landed an on3 industry 5-star in over a decade. Imagine that EVER flying at LSU. Now obviously BK was the coach there for most of that, but what has Freeman done to remedy that? Zero in 2023, zero in 2024 and zero out of 18 commits in 2025 thus far.

ND would KILL to get 6 5-star players in a 3 year consecutive span in recruiting. They just dont attract that kind of talent there on even close to a consistent occasion. There are players an ND coach has to overlook even if they are super talented for a lot of reasons a coach at LSU doesnt have to overlook the same said player, which eliminates some top talent for them to recruit right off the bat. It's reasons like this why BK left ND for LSU. He CAN recruit better talent here than he (or freeman can) at ND. Especially top tier talent.
