re: Is it weird to fantasize about prison

I mean is it fricked up that Louisiana education actually makes you go to frickin Angola for a field trip where they implant the idea that it's soo bad but the prisoners are actually pretty chill. Like they tell you how cool the programs are, they let you eat the food and you frickin go to a rodeo!!!

Told before: when I lived in Memphis an older friend had spent a significant amount of time locked up in Shelby County Penal Farm and worked in the kitchen. Told tales of the frozen food (the “Farm” part at least used to be accurate. Like Angola SCPF was surrounded by fields that the inmates worked).

He said the eggs were frozen in the shell and they would use the ovens to thaw them. Said the oldest eggs were dated 44 years old at the time he thawed them.

Not if you order off the menu. Shrimp po-boy at Angola used to be delicious when I’d go visit a cousin.
