I say you're both wrong.

The entirely emotional obsession with abortion rights for white suburban women IMO has simply to do with the fact that they channel every moment they have ever had when they felt patronized or discriminated against for being female (which is almost certainly far fewer than the number of times that they were ACTUALLY patronized or discriminated against) into the abortion question. And they do that because they've been told to feel that way by the media and by academia and by 2nd and 3rd wave feminism.

I'm convinced that it's not really about abortion at all.

I don't think women tend to think that way.
