Rudy cleaned that place up in short order back in the day and kept it that way. To his credit, by all accounts Bloomberg kept things in good shape during his time.
Amazing how quickly they let things slide back to 1970s levels and even worse in many respects under their subsequent “Progressive” leadership starting with the clown de Blasio and continuing with Adams.
Nothing Progressives manage to get their hands on turns out better. Absolutely nothing.

Yep and there are now a hell of a lot more " broken windows " to fix than when Rudy took charge. This is all due to liberal agendas over the past decade which embraced wokism, diversity , inclusion and equity over common sense and the rule of law.

Bloomy started softening Rudy's policies, but not abandoning them. Now with criminals let back out onto the street before a cop finishes filing paperwork, the whole Floyd morale disaster, defunding the police and a whole raft of dem policies, NYC's streets are suffering criminal anarchy.
BTW, Ryker's Island is mostly empty since the dems let all of the criminals out and put them up in nice hotels!
