Exactly. The Battery was my inspiration with Alex Box anchoring on the north and the new Arena anchoring on the south.

The lot is just very large. Totally underestimated the size when I started putting it together.

ah, I see you're in Buckhead. yeah, that would be perfect imo. there's plenty of room to do it, and with parking garages, you net even more spaces than the non tailgate golf course lot you'd be building over. you could definitely put a decent amount of apartments/condos there and make it a little mini town like the battery is even in the off season.

And Taylor Swift has come to Shreveport. So?

Absolutely

Put in a Graduate Hotel that targets college markets and I think it'd all be a big success.

just not like texas live. that place blows. it's one giant room with beers more expensive than inside at the game.

I believe Tennessee is working on an entertainment complex and hotel next to Neyland Stadium.

"We aren't talking about U2 and Taylor Swift. They aren't coming to Baton Rouge anyway."

I'm at a loss. They've played in Baton Rouge but they are'nt coming to Baton Rouge anyway?

This is exactly where it will go.

The "other on campus sites" are just smoke and mirrors. Why?

1. LSU is to ignorant to use the existing track facility
2. LSU is letting a fricking developer pick the site, AND own the facility
3. OBVIOUSLY, the developer will pick a site where there is available land that is nearby to build additional revenue generating amenities that the developer will own and benefit from due to the location.

ETA:
Or it will go on the existing Golf course. It's not needed because of U Club. IF it's needed, do you know how easy it would be to locate the golf course to River Rd. The golf course certainly doesn't need to be on Nicholson. My #1 choice will be where ever the COACHES prefer it to be.

Yeah those are all nice. That Lambeau development must be new-ish because I didn’t see it when LSU played Wisconsin.

But I’ve been to all the others and they’re all well done. Not sure why but I really liked the Wrigley Field development. Probably because I wasn’t expecting it.

TH03 mentioned the Iowa State project but are there any other colleges that have similar developments? I think OU may be trying to build something similar but is it mostly just professional venues as of now?

taylor swift is selling out NFL stadiums for 2 night shows that have resale tickets in the thousands. she ain't playing in a 15k seat arena anytime soon, no matter how nice it is.

I think South Carolina is planning something, as well as Tennessee as someone mentioned.

Possibly but I'm starting to think it's going to be near Alex Box.

I looked at the master plan last night and putting a big development in that area doesn't really mesh with their vision of south campus which includes a new quad in front of a new library and Patrick Taylor Hall. Doesn't give them a lot to space to grow in the future.

They're also looking to reconfigure some of the roads in the area and is that something they're looking to do at this point in time?

Times change. U2 or Taylor Swift are never coming to Baton Rouge again.

There isn't a major act scheduled to be in Baton Rouge for all of 2024, unless you consider Rick Springfield and Kenny Wayne Shephard to be major acts.

I forgot about Tennessee. South Carolina makes sense. Their stadium is off campus.
