Sounds like what happens to my dog. Our vet told us the blood & mucous is just from gut inflammation when she gets an upset stomach. I took her to two different docs to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, and both agreed she just has a sensitive stomach. I had her on royal canine for a while which was a pain in the arse because my other dog wanted to eat it as well, and it’s too expensive for that. We switched to Purina (salmon flavor) and she’s been doing fine with that for 6 years now. She does great with salmon food & treats. She’s severely allergic to chicken and anything with chicken by-product.

Ask your vet about the pepcid. We give a 25 mg tablet (she’s about 60 lbs) and it gives her relief.

It took almost a year to figure out what was wrong with her, but she’s 8 now and happy & healthy

Glad to hear yours is doing good now. I feel like that’s what’s going on with mine and this new food has just really aggravated it.

He’s laying on my side sound asleep snoring right now so we’re ok for now, going to ride it out tonight.

Need to go ahead and get insurance for him. We had it for my oldest dog and cancelled it bc we never used it other than it giving a discount on regular visits. This knucklehead needs it though.
