To gauge blood loss, check their gums. When they go white, straight to ER. If they are still pink, wait until morning.

Not a vet, but married to one.

I know your dog stays inside your house but when I was young I had a boxer bulldog. One morning I work to blood drops all over the back porch like he had been cut or eaten up by coyotes. When he finally came home it was dripping from his genitals. Apparently he had eaten a bone and it had gotten lodged in his stomach. He lived but man I was scared for him

I hope your dog is ok. There’s a lot going on with accusations of pet food making our pets sick and also killing them. Some had these symptoms. Sourcing? Who knows. Many companies obtain their meat, etc. from same distributor. Some vets and feed stores are acknowledging this, some aren’t. Some food has disappeared from shelves. Please research. Or it could be an illness. Vomiting and passing blood would be an er visit if my vet is closed. And if it’s hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, it’s nothing to play with.
