Both should be fired immediately.

Don’t be such a drama queen. The only discipline that should happen, if any, is what the head coach thinks is appropriate for the player and his assistant. Should all stay in the dugout without a bunch of Nancy types getting involved.

Baseball coaches are the biggest snowflakes in sports. That kid called him out, like we all do after every play in football, and that coaches reaction is to get physical? It’s because baseball coaches believe they are god on “their” field when in reality they are just a bunch of former players who couldn’t cut it 9n the field and realized they too late in life they are basically gym teachers.

I’ve dealt with coaches in every sport over my life and baseball coaches are, by far, the most ego driven. I’m glad to see a player nut up and call him out. Football coaches take responsibility all the time but when was the last time you heard a baseball coach say they called a garbage game and made their pitcher look bad? NEVER.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Thinking it's perfectly appropriate to physically attack a subordinate, IMO, defines "drama queen."
I get so tired of those on this board who think violence makes you a man. Maybe it makes you a "baw" but it certainly doesn't make you a man.

Full disclosure: I was once told by my coach that I had to get a haircut or leave the team. I told him to frick off. No punches thrown. Nobody grabbed anybody. I simply told him where to shove his haircut.

His punishment? He sent me down to play with the JV team. One game later, I got my hair cut.

He made his point.
