After her son got arrested. He is saying, lay off.

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman defended the son of Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert from critics on social media following news that the 18-year-old had been arrested.

"This is a family in crisis and the recreational cruelty I see on social media needs to be out of bounds," the Pennsylvania Democrat posted on X Wednesday in response to news that Boebert’s son had been arrested.

"I know the impact this has on children. I'm calling for restraint because cruelty has substantial collateral damage. We can't ever forget that they didn't sign up for this."

"I keep rethinking this guy," Townhall senior columnist Kurt Schlichter posted on X.

"I don’t see eye to eye with John Fetterman on policy very much but he proves that he’s a more decent human being than most politicians," political commentator Ian Miles Cheong wrote on X.

"Another W for John Fetterman," political commentator and attorney A.G. Hamilton posted on X.

I agree with Fetterman, but let's be real. This "child" is 18 years old.

It is pretty clear that Fetterman is a genuinely good dude who happens to be a moderate Democrat

Fetterman has said some good things and had some levelheaded takes lately.

But.. he’s still a politician and he took support from Biden and company.
Stroke or no stroke, he will stab you in the back without a moments notice. Don’t buy it.

Go sit in on one Intro to Philosophy college class… you’ll quickly see that this generation of 18 year olds are definitely still children

I did NOT have Fetterman turning into the Joe Lieberman of his party on my bingo card.

He's turned out to be a fairly decent person. The country would be a better place if more dems were like him.

Agreed.
R or D, they all will frick you over.
Politicians are no longer working for us and haven’t been for decades, they just pretend to be on a team.

Make no mistake he is a socialist, but I will give him credit with his decency and his border stance. Honestly not sure he is worse that Oz would be.

Oh yeah Jindal makes more sense. But Kennedy did a lot of talking then immediately switched gears and started ignoring the people who got him elected

There you go with your female intuition. Give the man no credit for the best, boldest policy initiatives and go with your gut

That's exactly what the left wing does with trump.

Lol I would otherwise agree with you but I’m pretty good at it. Was a 97E interrogator in the army. I never said I wouldn’t vote for the guy.. just something about him I can’t put my finger on.. the way his affect changes pretty subtly depending on who he’s taking too.. could just indicate really high emotional intelligence and be a subconscious trait. But I would absolutely never base a vote on that

Before his stroke I could have sworn he was a hardcore progressive.

Fetterman will be the one leading the charge to pull our citizenry back from the brink intra-slaughter.
