Alt will definitely be gone, if Verse and Latham are both gone by 14, someone very good will be there that should not be.

I think this is a very possible. Could be 4 QB's gone, 2 WR's, 1 TE. 3 OT's. 1 CB, 2DE/OLB. 13 right there. So a #2 CB, #5 QB should be sitting there for someone to switch pics with us if they want. Just a lot talent for us to choose from this year.

Verse would be an absolute home run pick.

High character guy. Who also fits the mold of the prototypical DE the Saints would target.

Liking riser DB Quinyon Mitchell. Drawing Lattimore comparisons with measurables and play. Ran a 4.33 forty as well.

I’d rather Dallas Turner but I’d be happy with Verse. I wouldn’t mind trading back a few spots to pick up a 3rd round pick and pick either Chop, Verse, or Turner afterwards.

Fiske is Kyle Williams. I don't know why people don't see that. People say 2nd/3rd round on him but he'll be a standout by his 3rd year.

We also need a pass rusher. I think Verse and Chop are the top two rushers. After that, it’s a drop off.

The more I look at it, you probably need to take one of those two guys if possible and grab an OT in the 2nd. Alt, Fuaga, or Fashanu are the best OTs, and I’d be happy with them in the 1st. But you can get a guy like Paul, Mims, Morgan, or Amegadjie in the 2nd or later rounds.

Premium early-impact edges are a higher premium than OTs these days. Definitely edge first, OT later.

But if Bowers falls, we have to draft him.

Our Oline is the worst unit on the team. Unless we fix it with FA its fixed with the draft.

Yes and No. I think Alt can be a franchise LT. If you can get a Boselli, Roaf, Joe Thomas type of guy, that’s better than a DE unless it’s a Suggs, Peppers, Garrett kind of guy.

I think Chop Robinson has the athleticism to be one of those guys, but I’m not sure that he’s at that level.

I was on board with this, but I think he’s a luxury we can’t afford at the moment. If he’s there, I think we should trade back with a team like Cincinnati or Miami and get an extra 2nd round pick.

Trade back to 18 and get Chop Robinson, get Paul, Morgan or Suamataia with our 2nd rounder and get a guy like Sweat, Ja'Tavion Sanders, Kris Jenkins, McKinnley Jackson or Xavier Lagette with the other 2nd. Lots of good players are in the 2nd this year.

I know I've predicted a trade down for about 15 years in a row but this year it may actually happen. Just saw Charlie Brown trying to kick the ball. Players like BTJ and Bowers or the #2 CB could be sitting there at 14 among others. If its only a few picks down and we still have some flexibility to get one of our guys who knows. Its been a long time.
