No logical reason for the slid after earnings. Will sell 4 billion in AI chips. Beat estimates etc.

I will buy a pmcc tomorrow.

Fed Powell speaking tomorrow and AMD forward guidance misses on the regular. The bounce back will be profitable, thou.

The logical reason it slid is the Q2 guidance.

Their core business is not AI, which new investors have confused for a while. The only reason they slightly beat was because of record center data revenue, which was strong. From their core, PCs are not great, Embedded missed bad, gaming missed pretty drastically, and they have repeatedly lowered guidance.

AMD’s MI300 is trying to catch up to the H100. Meanwhile, NVDA is moving on from the H100 to the Blackwell platform, which is going to be superior to their current H100 putting AMD further behind.

NVDA has 85+% of the AI market and nothing suggests AMD is tapping into that share anytime soon.

People that think AMD is a good play because their share price is lower than NVDA are not seeing the much larger picture. I do expect it to rebound from here, but this company is not comparable to NVDA fro an investment standpoint right now.
