I’d assume a thing overlay like that would crack. Concrete just layers right? I’m no expert but I don’t think that would work well at all

you could do just a 1/4" layer of asphalt and it wouldnt crack, it literally doesnt matter how thick or thin it is.
do you even understand what asphalt is?
