Can you sand down aggregate driveway?

Ours is weathered and previous owner didn't seal it, so it's brutally painful to walk on barefoot. The concrete part has eroded and the rocks stick up way too much. Kids playing basketball tear their knees up. It's actually somewhat dangerous I think.

Is there a way to sand it down a bit smoother then I can seal it and maintain it from there?

people grind and polish concrete for indoor floors all the time. Specialty equipment though its something to hire out.





Will be expensive

just hire a company to come out and lay down 1" thick asphalt layer over it and be done with it.

its that, or replace the driveway if its as bad as you say

I’d consider some kind of overlay instead of sanding
