A HC doesn’t need to be “a great coach” to be successful. He needs to be a damn good CEO, ie recruit good players, good assistants, and gel and motivate them as a team. That’s Will Wade in a nutshell.

Is basketball? Bull fricking shite. You’re stuck in football world.

Will Wade had NBA talent all over his roster and couldn’t win shite. He is not a great coach. He just knew how to get money to recruits. He couldn’t set up a fricking in-bound play in crunch time to save his life. His players often just played iso street ball with little to no ball movement. His defenses were shite.

The obsession with this moron who was too stupid to invest in a burner phone is mind boggling.

well he sure brings total destruction to his conference now, with a team that was utter shite last year. that would seems to indicate he is a good coach.

right now wade is undefeated at home. 14-1 in conference and headed to a fairly easy bid to the dance.

they would destroy them if they see them again.

you cant win em all.

I actually went to Hammond for that game. they almost won that one. wade got a late T which fricked them and they missed two late 3's to win. the better team doesn't always win.

if they get southeastern in the conf tourney they will pound them.

Some of you assholes that live in glass houses want to close your mind to facts and slam Will because he made a mistake. But make no more mistakes, McMahon is not achieving anywhere close to what Wade did in his second year at LSU.

And some of you assholes think Wade walked on water. Go follow McNeese State and suck him off a bit more

It's really a shame...

Normally I would be excited for McNeese, and hoping they could spring an upset in the Big Dance. But these whiners have made it to the point where part of me wants to see them get slaughtered, or upset in their conference tourney so they don't even go- just to shut them the frick up.

I mean, if they somehow pull Alabama first round- Oats owned Wade when he had SEC players. And made a point to rubbing it in afterwards. Imagine what he'd do to McNeese. 40+ pt win and yell "go the frick home"?

Can some of you not just enjoy a win without comparing to past teams or looking for the least little thing to complain about?

The dude was gifted a shite program and still somehow finds ways to win games. WTF did you expect mid year 2 after the dumpster fire Wade left the program in? I'd bet it's not more than 1 SEC win, much less 7. Kind of hard to achieve what Wade did after he skull fricked the program the way he did.

Compare this year to Wade’s second year.

LSU's own AD says he views this as McMahon's first season, so I don't know why anyone would compare it to Wade's second year.

Has a coach ever started his tenure with 0 players? All 12 left the program. Definition of rock bottom.

In Will Wade’s 5th season LSU went 9-9 in conference play.

If Matt McMahon and LSU end up 10-8 in, by all accounts a much stronger SEC this year, does your head explode?

don’t try to tell ‘em facts

Why is this message necessary?

I'd suspect that the current coach will be more easily able to recruit better players once he gets out of the hole he started in.

I have utterly nothing against the previous coach but I didn't really see the power-laden teams he put together accomplish as much as everyone here expected.

You’ll be downvoted, but nothing you said was incorrect. Wade is a much better coach than CMM. Just because I can admit that doesn’t make me a Wade lover, it’s the cold hard truth.

Wade is a better coach, but the view is still short sighted due to the fact that they inherited much different situations.
