Green Bay did it so that’s the way to do it apparently

Yes. It is the way to do it. Saints almost DID it with Brees/Mahomes.

The way Green Bay has done it has lead to them having two Hall of Fame qbs, two SuperBowls, and a promising new qb fresh off a 30 td season.

The niners (Montana/Young/Garcia), chargers (Brees/Rivers), cheifs (Smith/Mahomes) etc have all done it.

Grooming the next man up is common practice.

Gtf outta here with the retard responses. This shite AINT NEW.

fricking follow some football shite man.

None of these situations are what Green Bay did. SF traded for Young after the 1986 season because Montana had back issues they thought were career threatening. Montana of course recovered and Young was the back up because there was no salary cap and no free agency in the late 80s. Garcia was a free agent they signed from the CFL to be the back up Qb not “next man up” he became the starter when young was injured and had to retire due concussions.

The Chargers had the first pick and took Eli Manning who they had to trade for Rivers because he refused to play for them. Brees was only in year 3 and was terrible the year before, he was not an established vet. His break out season was 2004. They let him walk after 2005 because he had a devastating shoulder injury and they had a viable alternative.

KC targeted and traded up to draft Mahomes. He didn’t fall to them taking BPA.

It’s you that needs to do this instead of trying to create your own narrative
