People are starting to default to "they" for a single person. I hate it.

I have used "they" in the past to refer to a truly hypothetical or unknown person, but I am working to break even that habit.

That's how you win a culture war: you don't respond to "partial birth abortion" with an attempt to reach consensus on reasonable restrictions. You respond by talking about banning IVF.

Is this sarcasm? People are starting to? My dude, this is just basic grammar rules that have been around since we started speaking modern English. Are you going to start using 'it' instead?

I have always done this. Not sure why. I always refer to people as “they”
