Griffin and Caminiti both will likely sign

Know some folks around the Griffin family. I never have connections, but I sort of have one here.
There is 0% chance, barring injury, that he makes it to campus. His camp is thinking he's a top 5 pick.

Konnor is a first-round pick travel ball name.

Yap. But there will be people on here all season saying “ya just never know!” (Along with several other HS players)

There has been some talk from the Baseball America guys that Derek Curiel is an outside shot to make it to campus. Obviously they're not going to guarantee anything, but also it's about the most legit information we're going to get.

He’s lost a bit of helium since his commitment, I get it with him

What about Schmidt's odds of making it to LSU campus?

I never like to say never, but I’d say 0% Konnor makes it. Saw him play a few weeks ago and he is as advertised. Best player they’ve had since Stephen head imo… My only question about him is what position will he play in the majors because the kid is a stud on the field and bump…

His brother is Kaden—they were destined for greatness on the diamond

It’s too bad that we won’t ever get to see what these type of studs can or would do in an LSU uniform. Almost wished they would at least make high school baseball players play at least one year of college like basketball does lol

The way I look at it, I have two great opportunities,” Griffin says, smiling. “I can go and play for Jay Johnson at LSU or, if it’s life-changing money, I can go ahead and sign to play pro ball. That’s two great options. Who wouldn’t want those choices? I will say that my dream has always been to play Major League Baseball, the sooner the better. I want to get there as quickly as I can.”
Safest 0% chance bet ever.

That last part certainly makes it seem that way

It’s rare but funny you say that, as lsu got valu-brand Konnor Griffin to campus about 15 years ago. Fellow Mississippian Jacoby Jones. He was never supposed to make it to school, so it does happen. But with griffin, no chance

I'm a Mississippi Native who's followed MS HS sports all of my life. I get the point you are making, Konnor is a generational talent here in Mississippi. He is likely going to be the highest drafted HS kid every out of the state. He's absolutely killing it his sr season batting over .700 with 7 Doubles 4 HR and 43, YES 43 stolen bases in 15 games (teams who refuse to pitch to him might as well be giving up a triple) Not to mention 3-0 on the mound with 0.0 ERA with 2:1 strikeouts per inning.
Ten to twenty scouts are at every game he plays and he continues to show out in front of them. I wont be shocked if Konnor ends up going top 5 or 3 overall. He's that good and ohh yeah he's only 17 and supposed to be a JR in High school (he reclassified this year for the draft)

He reclassified because he was old for the 2025 draft. His age is right in line with normal seniors entering the 2024 draft.
ETA: The relative weakness of the overall 2024 high school draft class also played a giant role in his decision to reclassify. Cam Caminiti and PJ Morlando also reclassed for that reason.
ETAA: I think it was Noah Franco that also reclassed, not Morlando.
