The Lakers trade was the right deal considering the other rumored options on the table. The problem is with all of the injuries, this version of the Pels has wasted 4 years figuring out BI and Zion aren't a good fit. Had they been able to figure that out earlier then maybe you trade BI earlier.

It's just like with Lonzo, the problem wasn't that Griff didn't negotiate with Chicago hard enough, it's that he didn't trade Lonzo earlier at a time when he would have had more leverage and options.

The problem was never the trade. It was always the stupid mentality to rush the rebuild and double down on it. We didn't gather enough talent to attempt to make a push. And in the end it set us back and shortened our window with the roster.
