The ordinance says that the project would be located on property on the LSU campus. The most logical site would be the Bernie Moore site considering that you would still have the benefits of connecting to your relatively new practice facility, basketball statues, parking, and other assets while continuing to use the PMAC.

The more I'm reading, the more questions I have. I'm not huge fan of the agreement unless LSU commits to building a legitimately world class facility with adjacent hotels, bars, restaurants, etc.

Doesn't really specify where they'd build it or the details of what they are building. LSU can build a POS and it would handicap the River Center for 30 years from the date that the LSU arena would open for almost everything except BRSO, very small family events, or conventions.

Also - do you really want professional wrestling, Miss America, hip hop concerts, political rallies, minor league Hockey, or more raunchy regional comedy shows on campus? I'd need to understand how similar agreements work in other markets. If done correctly, it could be a huge benefit to LSU and Baton Rouge.

It also specifies "LSU Property". That could mean the main campus, the south campus, the area by Pennington, the area by the Rural Life Museum near I-10/I-12 split....nothing specified unless I missed it.
