He wasn't kidding when he said he wanted the team to be fundamentally sound. The manager change alone raised the team baseball IQ 50 points.

That's pretty cool. I'll have to show this to my son -- Espada did the same thing during the workshop/camp that my son attended. Joe had told them that he was going to run them through some of the same drills he has the Astros run.
Well there's the proof.
BTW, he hit fungo exactly how you would expect a Major league coach to hit fungo.
