I don't know how old you are, but the fact that you almost fell for the original spiel is disconcerting. Yet you still use the term "registering." I presume you're in LA, "registering" a firearm is not a thing, nor is it in most of the country.

I will reiterate my objection to over-reliance on Constitutional carry. If you don't leave your county but once a year, no worries. Having Constitutional carry rights in your home states doesn't necessarily mean you have any carry rights if you hit another gun friendly state. Different LEO orgs and their experience all have an impact as to how your interaction goes, but why risk it?
