Coaches will need to rely on the roster to fill out their roster … they shouldn’t be rebuilding their entire roster under normal circumstances. Right now, LSU is not under “normal circumstances” but McMahon is close to at least stabilizing the roster.

LSU lost 8 (scholarship) players from last year's roster via transfer/graduation. Here's how many players the other SEC teams lost:

South Carolina - 6
Miss. St. - 5
Alabama - 10
Tennessee - 5
Florida - 9
Arkansas - 7
Auburn - 6
A&M - 8
Kentucky - 8
Missouri - 8

"Normal circumstances" now is having to replace near or over 50% of your roster from year to year. It's clear that most LSU fans on the board aren't necessarily college basketball fans. Thus, they think LSU's significant roster turnover is unique to LSU. It isn't. Almost every major college team is having to significantly rebuild their roster every year.
