Oh, the part where the OP stated what coverages he has and his credit scores must’ve been left off on my end then.

Where you located and how big of a house?
Not uncommon for people to be paying 3k year in home owners for a little 1,000 sq ft house

We switched from State Farm this year because they kept jacking the rates. When we moved to Houston two years ago, auto was $148 month for my wife and I. They were going to raise it to $182 next month. Never had a single claim.

We are still going to pay $182 when we switch but we are going from 100/300 to 250/500.

State Farm and most big insurers aren't even issuing new homeowner policies in Houston so we had to get a broker involved. We will pay about $2300/yr.

Yeah having teen drivers sucks. We have 4 vehicles and 2 teen drivers.

Around $10k per year for auto insurance.

ETA: no accidents or tickets

I’m at $6700 a year for 2 auto’s no accidents and $3500 a year for homeowners with a house that’s 3 years old.

I went to the fricking movies the other night and 2 tickets and a bag of M&M ‘s was $63. Before that we went to dinner and two 3 taco meals, 1 pepsi, 1 water, chips and queso was $63.00. I can’t remember if that included tip or not but just a simple night out for the wife and I was $126 and we had tacos and a movie with no booze.
