quote:BI averages 1.2 more assists per game than CJ but BI averages 3.9 3s per game and CJ 8.0. That does not explain the difference based on your reasoning. 1 assist but over 4 less 3s per game?
Because BI sets up other people for open threes, but nobody sets up BI for open threes. He’s not Steph or Dame, he needs someone to draw a crowd and pass him the ball when he’s open for three. Zion is the only one who can but he’s not a guard
quote:CJ is an off ball guard we're using as a catch and shoot player because that is his best role, and he has lower usage than both Zion and BI, why would he have more assists than our 2 lead facilitators?
and CJ is somehow third in assists when he should be leading the team.

Seriously man try to stick to one point.
You’re arguing literally anything you don’t agree with. This isn’t about why CJ is third in assists.
You are somewhat making my point. BI doesn’t have the luxury of being used as an off ball guard. He’s acting as a point guard so that CJ can play off ball and take more catch and shoot threes.
Who’s acting as the point guard so that BI can take more catch and shoot threes? I think BI should take more threes, but right now he’s both our best scoring guard and leads the team in assists. And his style isn’t like Steph or Dame so he’s not taking quick threes or off the dribble threes. You can get mad and argue all you want but when the same player is the primary ball handler and scoring guard and also leads the team in assists, and also doesn’t play like Steph or Dame, it’s going be hard to get up a bunch of threes.
Again you’re arguing my point whether you realize it or not. If we had a point guard who’s best role was drawing a crowd and finding open three point shooters, then BI would most likely have more three point shots.
I def think BI should shoot more threes, my post reads like more of an excuse, but the roster doesn’t make it quite that simple.
