considering how competitive they used to be.

I very much remember those 90s and even early 2000s all star games. They very much were about pride and certain guys would bot let anyone phone it in.

Today's players soft as frick.

Yep

Whether it's the All Star game, playing 82 regular season games, or the elite dudes doing the dunk contest...they used to care to do it, now they don't.

The amount of complaints we're seeing shows the fans certainly still care about those things, so the players priorities are no longer aligned with the fans, and that's not good for the league.

And when it comes to the All Star game, if we want to be very technical(someone can correct me if I'm wrong) but this shite is sponsored and a shite ton of money is coming in for All Star weekend, which I can only assume is part of basketball related income, right? Meaning, players are being paid portions of the money for the All Star game so coming out and giving zero effort is BS that you can't complete write off as, "well, it's just a meaningless game." You're getting paid to do it. You did NOT have to go, you could have turned it down. The dudes in the past went out and played hard. Hell, they put on a hell of a show just 4 years ago with the "Kobe" All star game, so the dudes now can do it, again, they just don't want to do their job they're being paid for that they agreed to do.

There is no legit excuse for what we're seeing, just none. If they don't care, let's scrap the entire weekend, lose the sponsor money, and that money get taken out of the pot that goes to the players and let's just be done with it.
