I think there's a chance that Dems just let this election go, deal with the consequences for two years, try to take everything at midterms, like before, and come back for 2028. A very large portion of the nation is souring on the Democratic Party.

It's possible that at this late date the Dem handlers might think that fixing the election will be a lot harder than in 2020. Plus the issue of replacing Biden all of a sudden could be messy. By waiting till 2028 they'll have 30 million of the illegal aliens registered to vote. And they won't have to deal with Trump.

There are more than a few predicting a deep recession or worse in the next 12 months. They would looooove for Trump to take the rap for it. If he wins, there will no doubt be some behind the scenes pulling levers to bring a financial collapse to fruition.
