What happened to all the big shots out there snatching up 2nd, 3rds, and 4ths at a shot of bowl tickets? What happened to those that have so many extra tickets that they want to take the extras and give them out to business clients that have zero affiliation with LSU much less even care who wins the game?

So now that LSU isn't "the thing to do", all of us common people are called upon. And when I say common people, I'm talking alumni and faculty of LSU, people that have had season tickets for 20+ years but don't have the money to donate thousands to LSU every year, even though our tuition and season ticket money has equalled that.

And now people like us are the "bad guys"? I don't get it.

Everybody here is bitching about the Tigers on-field performance this year, but I can guarantee you that if all of the tickets were priced at a level that everybody could afford, LSU would be a second-rate doormat in the SEC.

As one of the other posters noted, there is an arms race of massive proportions going on. If we don't keep up, we don't get recruits. It's that simple.

It feeds on itself too. Winning brings more requests for season tickets. If every Tiger fan was as loyal as everybody proclaims to be, we would have been sold out during the 90's. We did not and there was no East Upper then either.

Money makes the machine turn. I'm sorry if that means that some people can't afford season tickets.

As far as the post, I have no idea what is meant by 2nd, 3rd, 4th shots at bowl tickets. It's a very simple process. I'm not sure exactly how the non-TAF seats did mixing into the Priority Points because I started with TAF in the East Upper, but I know that renewals are big points getter. Fans are rewarded for the number of years as well as total contribution (to a lesser extent). At UGA, I know their formula is straight up dollars. LSU at least attempts to reward long term renewals.

I get an away request form every year and fill it out. They fill the games based on priority. I get a bowl request form every year and fill it out. They fill the games based on priority. The only games I don't get are about 50% of the hard road games.

The last bowl game I missed was the 02-03 Cotton Bowl (took the family to Disney World). I got 6 tickets for the Peach Bowl and will be there tailgating, drinking, and yelling my arse off.

I remember Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo. 7-5 and the Peach Bowl is a disappointment, but there is a bottom much further down. Ask Auburn.

How about incentive TAF points for those who buy tickets to the Peach Bowl? And I mean legitimate and significant points.

Would be the right thing to do...but what do you think the chances are.

We all know the answer.

Like it or not...this is the reality of being a top program. It sucks, but it is what it is.

If you want to be one of those guys that gets all of the perks then you have to donate. Like Mr. French said, "hey this America, make more fricking money."
