they are just going to reskin Madden 24 and use the college rosters and jerseys.

Maybe they do but they’ve been doing their due diligence on getting team specific stadium sounds and traditions. I have my doubts on the gameplay but I think we may get a game that feels authentically like a CFB game.

The coolest thing to me about the games growing up is that yes, they were both made by EA Sports, but they were so much different when you played NCAA vs when you played Madden

IDK if I'd say cool. When I was young, they were both great games but over time NCAA kept their focus on making the gameplay and roster building realistic while Madden tried to turn their game into NFL Blitz. At a certain point I only bought madden so I could draft my NCAA players despite the gameplay being awful. After they stopped making NCAA, I stopped buying Madden all together.

A whole trailer to tell us NCAA 25 is happening with no in-game footage. “We’re making it tho!!!”

Right?!
They've had more than enough time to put together a trailer.

I mean, they showed us assets and said the full reveal is in May.
It's the first official announcement since November 2022.
I'm more than happy with it.

Does that mean we get a college baseball game too?

Haven't bought a console since the xb360. The only way I will play this is if it is available using cloud gaming, or PC (my laptop can rip it a bit).

As it is EA, I seriously doubt that they will do anything more than rebrand Madden and fill it to the gills with microtransactions. Most game designer studios now are DEI hires to boost ESG content as a way to "buy" high ratings from the big gaming sites (aka schills). I cannot imagine more than a handful of the design team actually watches college football, and they are probably vastly outnumbered by those who are more concerned with whether the game uses pronouns properly.

Supposedly EA claims that even though the college football game will run off the same engine as Madden, the game will play and feel completely different.

But we all know EA never tells the truth so that remains to be seen.

They couldve updated rosters and used NCAA 14 gameplay and it wouldve been the top selling game of all time.

This. Update the graphics a little and I would be happier than a pig in shite

No it’s not. Same engine different gameplay and development team. It’s been said multiple times that it’s the same engine but the team has built everything from the ground up. They have a bunch of guys who worked on the older games making sure they don’t mess it up. I’m still tempering my expectations but I’m hopeful.
