The VA is/was already hot garbage most places. I get 70% disability meaning all of my healthcare and medicine through them would be free but most of the time I use private insurance and see my local doctor because they’re just so much better. Im not sure what there is left to take from the VA. And I’m in the Charleston system (Savannah) which is one of the better regarded ones in the country.

VA Healthcare would be a lot better if it was just a network insurer like BCBS. People on disability get it free or discounted based on %, offer it to businesses as a packaged for veterans so employees, discount for veteran owned business, etc...
