The cold was as real as real can be. The players, the actors, the patriotism, the sacrifice and yes the profits. Lies. Corruption. Humans being humans it seems.

Trotsky won the Cold War. since his exile from the Soviet Union he went on a crusade against them. you can say modern Neoconservatism and Neoliberalism thinking all roots from Trotskyism.
The Forever Revolution. I always laugh when Americans think they "won" the Cold War. apparently the Soviet Union collapsing was supposed to bring forth a century of peace. look where we are today.
So much winning. China is the worlds factory, a bunch of Bedouin rebels with no Navy are commandeering cargo ships and blockading global trade. trillions of dollars in debt. out of control inflation. Iran punking the US military. Secretary of Defense has butt cancer.
In summary. Cold Warriors "won" and proceeded to frick over their progeny. Posterity be damned.
