I sell on eBay. Try to engage the seller through messages. A lot of sellers will work something out to avoid the negative feedback hit.

If it doesn't work out you can always use the old listing to "sell one like this" or "sell similar" item and sell it yourself with honest description. Use calculated shipping based on buyer location. USPS Ground Advantage or Priority. Good luck

Yeah, if I have to I will just try to sell the item, but I will absolutely explain the deal about it. I don't like to hide anything, because I want to be honest and I want to avoid future returns. I'll still lose money, but I could at least get some of it back.

You want him to take a loss on an item that clearly wasn’t as described, and didn’t meet the definitions which are clearly outlined by eBay?

That’s only something a shady seller would tell you to do.
