Would You Rather Be A One Hit Wonder...Or A Famous Singer?

I think fame can be a good thing but also a bad thing. Imagine being a huge star and preforming all over the world and having fans crave for you! Listen being a huge Hollywood singer must be the bees knees.... however there comes alot with it. Then again, imagine being famous for a one hit wonder. You would be famous forever. So what says you?

A One Hit Wonder

One hit wonder with a monster hit that generates residuals for decades and performed in a costume or makeup that lets me be at least somewhat anonymous.
I have no urge to be famous, rich would be nice though.

Alexander O'Neal took advantage of the Prince era/Minneapolis Sound and had just a handful of pop/R&B songs that charted. He was basically a one-album wonder.
He said he wanted to make a ton of life-changing fast cash, get in & out the business so he would barely be recognizable in other cities & countries without being mobbed at restaurants, malls, theaters, etc. Then if he chose to, re-visit music/performing, should he ever get the itch again.
Smart move, IYAM

I would rather be a famous signer that has a YouTube channel than be famous and more mainstream.
That way you can still be unknown and wouldn't be bothered by so many crazy people.
