Patterson could take over for Aranda if he wants back in

This is just a petty move from GP. Trashing his legacy

He spent 22 years at TCU building it brick by brick. After it was clear he’d taken them as far as he could, TCU told him they would be moving on, and he accepted it
As was the case when he was at Texas, he can provide value to a Baylor coach. And he’s probably the kind of mentor that Aranda would greatly benefit from
Not sure what element is petty but his legacy is pretty damn secure

This would be like Bobby Bowden taking an assistant job at UF. After 20+ years, taking a job with the rival school is ridiculous

Wait…you guys launched him after 22 years. Whether that was the right move or not what makes you think Patterson owes TCU anything after they told him to hit the bricks? Maybe Aranda was a guy he really liked and thinks working for him would be a good spot at this point in his career. And honestly, I didn’t realize the TCU-Baylor rivalry rose to the vitriol of Florida- Florida State.

TCU fires a legend and some fans demand he not continue doing what he loves. Amazing

Patterson and Aranda are indeed friends
He gets to stay close to the game he loves and wants to stay close to, with a guy he knows and familiarity with the landscape, and he doesn’t have to deal with the BS coach stuff
Who the frick are TCU fans to feel he shouldn’t take that opportunity? Surely he’s not a threat to usurp Dykes, make him a better offer than Baylor then
