Ask about their DUI policy.

have questions prepared before you arrive bc they will ask you. this is easiest to prepare for and shows you put some thought into it

Be prepared for:
Tell me a time where: blah, blah, blah.

I interviewed a guy a few months ago who took notes during the interview. That was a first and kind of impressive.

Just know if you don’t do well and get this job, it makes you less of a man.

Any tips? I'm very nervous.
1) If they offer you something to drink, take them up on it. I realized after my first job interview that I get horrible cotton mouth (only ever happens in interviews) and having a cup/bottle of water is a life saver. Taking a sip is also a good way to pause and collect your thoughts without it being awkward.
2) don’t say anything negative about current/previous employers/coworkers.
When asked why you’re wanting to make a change always make it about opportunity or industry and nothing else.
3) don’t be cocky and try your best to seem genuinely interested in the work by asking sincere follow-up questions, etc.
4) reach out to the interviewer(s) via email afterwards and thank let them know that you enjoyed the opportunity to get to know them and thanking them for their time. Try to mention anyone that you were introduced to by name as well.
Goodluck!

Eye contact
Firm handshake and glad to meet you xyz
Introduce yourself
If you have a hard name
Example last name matland
You would say my name is xyz first name and Matland is my last name. It is pronounced Matt infront of land.
Again you are selling yourself as the best solution to their wants and needs.
Ask them what they are looking for in a potential employee.
If it two people look at both people in their eyes.
Fill in what you can do to fill those needs and wants.
They might ask
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
This is one you need to know the answers
How can you benefit our team?

Yes, ask your interviewer/panel questions about the company or the job. Don't ask about pay or vacation time.

Take a chapter from poster whit’s book and get choked up when you’re introducing yourself.
They’ll appreciate your humanity.
As the last time I interviewed for a job, Ronald Reagan was still in his first term, I got nothing else.

I didn’t see your earlier post about introductions until after I posted.

If they ask you questions like, “tell me a time when x happened”, answer it in this order.
1) Describe the problem without criticizing any of the parties involved
2) Describe how you handled it and why you handled it that way
3) Describe the end result even if it wasn’t positive
Do that you’ll get the job 100 times out of 100…. Unless one of the other candidates is a petite blond with nice tits.

Don’t worry. I’m sure this interview with Burger King will go just great. Don’t sweat it.

Show up in a clean car. Someone will check.

Don't over talk. A lot of HR types will sit quietly, waiting for you to talk. And many over talk as a result. Answer the question thoroughly but don't ramble on & on. Keep eye contact & do send a thank you email afterwards.

Some advice I read on this forum years ago:
quote:
After concluding the interview, after the hand shakes, etc, when leaving the room stop, turn around, and say "There's one more thing you need to know about me."
Then pull out a bottle of hot sauce, down the entire bottle, slam it onto the ground and say "I can handle the heat." Nod confidently, leave the room.
Boom.

Don't give excuses and never talk negative about yourself.
