There was a slight, almost insignificant, rain this morning. I assume it's still ok to put it down? Am I right?

Yes

this is off topic but figured I'd ask since I saw your reply. I know you and ronk are very well respected on lawncare so wanted to know a VERY GENERIC timeline from spring - fall on what to put down and when. Here's what i have in mind for this year as a starting point:

Pre-emerge: very early spring as soon as soil gets to 50 (already did this, put down lesco 0-0-7 prodiamine)

Fertilizer: couple months later. Maybe late spring like April? No idea what kind to use, last year I used milorganite just because I'd heard it highly recommended

Fall: another pre-emerge to help prevent the cold weather weeds, maybe like October? I did not do this last year

Obviously this is a very rough timeline I'm still very much a novice and am trying to learn more year by year. Last year I put down a generic Scotts crabgrass preventer + feed type of thing early and milorganite in summer. I'm trying to tweak things for this year to do even better.
