Also, why are the Afghan Whigs so good? And so underrated ?

Shame they’ll probably only ever be remembered as a footnote in music history or some esoteric trivia question. I’ll probably be labeled a boomer, but Black Love is legit the last album I can think of as a masterpiece. Their sound has also evolved very well with the time—maintaining their classic sound while also growing with a new era. Not easy to accomplish in the downtrodden rock genre.

Randomly, about the whigs - they’re one of a handful of acclaimed bands I can think of that I have never heard once on siriusxm. I can’t think of any station that ever played them. Too early for grunge, too late for new wave. They really have their own niche. And really no one I know under 40 is aware of them. And yet The music they are churning out to this day is still superb.

Fixed, and it’s in my top five all time.
