You can Google "OSINT technique to track email origin" or something similar (OSINT= open source intelligence, and there are free OSINT tools out there, especially on Linux). Some of the google hits suggest tools & services that may be beneficial in finding useful info out of the email header info, etc.

Don't know how effective this would be. And if you don't know what you're doing, don't know how much time it might waste on your end (minutes or hours).

Also, not knowing your business, I'd be mindful of any legal or ethical considerations with regards to both seeking info and acting on it.

As an avid OSINTer.

There is no way for an average joe to track down a gmail account.
