I guess it became cool or a fad in the 80's or whenever when every other white person you met claimed: " I am part Cherokee" or "I am part Indian". I never really understood that.

shite, that was all the rage when i was a kid. It was Alabama chic to claim to be some part Indian and most claimed to be Cherokee because it sounded cooler than Choctaw. All these Southern, whiteboy rednecks wanting to believe they had some connection to the Noble Savage.

I'll tell ya though, If I were to make up some bullshite about sharing the genetics of some proud native tribe, it certainly wouldn't be those Cherokee pussies.
