I'm not so worried about going to the woods to live off the land. I live in a relatively nice area, but in the grand scheme of things, it's 20 minutes from areas I wouldn't go at night. If civilized society went wayside for a minute, I think myself and a few neighbors could possibly get together and set up a plan to keep the area held down somewhat while police aren't available. There's enough USMC license plate frames, personalized plates with "gunner", come and take it stickers, and the like to protect our block from looters.

Already happened enough places in this country. I mean look at Rittenhouse. I personally am not going to go protect property that I'm not living in. But if my family and I are living there, I'd be doing exactly what they did. And I wan't the right stuff in that scenario.

This would be the best thing. I remember John Lovell talking about bugging out and saying the best thing to do is form a small community with like minded people. It would be far easier than trying to bug out alone or with a small family.
