Seeing a couple of videos floating around where dealers are saying that price decreases (back to pre-COVID) are coming. Any idea on what this would to the used market? Would we see less vehicles hitting the market because people can't get as much for theirs? Are would we see more used inventory because new is more affordable?

People are so upside down on vehicles right now because dealers raped them during Covid that it is even harder to trade out of them.

The used market has been in a downward trend.. I’d be surprised if it gets back to pre-Covid levels but I would expect the downward trend to continue some.

If the price of new trucks goes down (I’m guessing this has something to do with the new Chinese ones) then used cars will go down too as people will start to buy new cars more and less people will buy used cars. I hope this happens.

I’ve been contemplating this as well. I don’t travel 30k miles a year anymore so can afford a truck and the fuel.

My problem is I’m coming out of my second ES350 so I’m not used to any maintenance costs. After reading the OT it sounds like you’re constantly dealing with issues with FORD/Chevy/GMC/Ram….or shite gas mileage with a Tundra.
