Concur that the LSP shouldn’t be NOLA cops. The city needs to tackle crime and that involves putting these shitheads in jail.
The other end of that spear is really paying police well. It’s tough and unique in NOLA so you really gotta hire folks that will be committed.
It’s rough on cops when they arrest people and then those convicts just get let out OR never even prosecuted.

He still identified the single biggest problem, which is the consent decree that limits all actions by NOPD.

Do they get to use special prosecutors and judges? Or is it just usual suspects?
