I'm not commenting on his diet because I don't know. You say every minimal percentage gain matters at that level. Percentage gain of what exactly that would definitively make him a better qb?
Regardless, you are speaking from a partial physical view of his upper body, not considering other aspects such as throwing mechanics, flexibility, mobility, reaction time, etc. All of those matter more than abs for an NFL qb.

I’m not saying he needs ripped abs. But he clearly has a poor diet. And that effects sleep, mood, and with the amount of fat he is carrying it also will hamper speed and other things
But honestly I don’t think any athlete ever truly gets to their absolute peak. Being human makes it almost impossible. Maybe someone like lance Armstrong did.
