Elite athletes come in different looking packages, not everyone who is great at a sport looks like a fitness model.
This is true. Vince Wilfork is fricking fat, and was one of the best nose guards to ever live and moved like a tiger on the line of scrimmage. Larry Allen was over 400 pounds and ran down a skill player. Freaks are called that for a reason.

I was prepared to bring up the Bosa brothers as well. (At least I think that is who is pictured above by LSUpride87), because they're perfect examples of the freak athletes that look amazing who are also gym rats. Plenty of dudes are more pedestrian looking who are maniacs about their training and general health, despite it not showing physically. Then there's some who don't give a shite, look like it, and still play like monsters...perfectly embodied by Mr. Mahomes...and to some extent Kelce too.
Times have definitely changed too. I was listening to an episode of Joe Defranco's podcast when he was talking to Brian Cushing(USC MLB who played for the Texans that definitely had a physique and a high performance training practice) and they were talking about what they called "The Gun Show" and Brian was mentioning how it was important to train for performance but he also wanted to "look the part" of a professional athlete. It was a little surprising.
I can definitely remember being a kid in the 80's and seeing pro athletes that I thought, "He looks just like my dad." but you see that less and less.

No
He was in the 330 range. I'll assume you're not being literal here
