I shot an Oryx in 2012. I was not super impressed with it but I caveat that by saying the one I shot was older than Moses. I mean it was good but imo I think Axis is better. Axis meat is my #2 favorite meat behind Kudu. That meat is literally on my Mt. Everest of favorite things to eat and bonus is they are fricking gigantors.

Best meat I've had from an animal I've killed has been Scimitar oryx or pronghorn. Nilgai is good too but didn't kill one. Broke horn oryx is the best deal in Texas. They are extinct in Africa. I had some kudu biltong from South Africa couple years ago. Damn it was hard to eat.
