Update: my weakness progressed very quickly. So neurosurgeon yesterday am, he had me admitted and did surgery this morning.
I feel amazing. Have not taken any pain meds. 0 pain in my leg and back for the first time in years. Just waiting to be discharged home.
The numbness and weakness will hopefully improve over time.
Now the recovery begins

Don't be fooled into forgetting about this just bc it doesn't hurt anymore. You need to make a concerted effort to address the cause and prevent it from happening again, but it almost always does and you can't keep having surgeries. Improve your mobility, strengthen your back, and work on your posture

Just seeing this thread. I have been dealing with Sciatica pain off and on for a couple of years. I am currently in pain when standing, walking, or laying down. Sitting down relieves most of the pain. I go tomorrow for a mri. Hopefully I can find some relief soon.
